Hello there fellow men and women,
I thought that I would announce to the world my very special news. Yes, I'm going to be a Daddy! Who would have thought it...me....a father!! Although I have never had much experience with children and am not entirely sure of what to expect, my darling Rachel and I are very excited by this news, and look forward to the challenges it will bring!
In the summer of 2006 we had the unfortunate experience of having a missed mis-carriage. Although not planned in the first place, we were both devastated by this and our strength as a couple was tested to the max. However we took the view that it was a strange sort of blessing from God, as everything happens for a reason, and we were not ready to bring a child into the world at that point. Then something miraculous happened, a month later Rachel fell pregnant again. We did not think that it was possible for her to fall pregnant again so soon. This time around everything has seemed to be easier, there has been no shock element, as we had just been through that, and everyone who gave us a hard time before have seemed to be allot more supportive.
The baby is due on the 15th of May 2007, and all is good and well with the baby's development. All the tests have come back with excellent results, and we are in a very low risk group for any abnormalities. We have also been for all of our scans now, and hopefully we wont have to go back for any more. We are continuing to keep regular check up appointments with the mid-wife, and with God on our side, all will be fine; because we do not want a repeat of before.
Meanwhile Rachel and I are looking for a bigger place to live. We currently live in a flat, however we feel that it is not suitable to raise a child in. Rachel's parents have kindly offered to buy us a house to live in, so hopefully we will be moving out in the next couple of months.
Any hoots I best skedaddle, I'll keep you posted about the baby....
The Fryster
